Emperor Aquatics Tadpole Filter 4-in. x 12-in. 1/2-in. Barbed

Description

Durable, Dependable Filters for Koi Ponds and Water Gardens!

Tadpole Filters are submersible, mechanical filters designed to capture solid waste particles before the pump and external filter. These unique filters can be used as a pre-filter in your existing filtration system or as a “Total Pond Filter” in applications of up to 1,000 gallons.

Ponds Less Than 1,000 Gallons
Use the Tadpole Filter as a “Total Pond Filter” in applications of up to 1,000 gallons, position it before the water pump and submerge it in the deepest area of the pond.

Ponds Exceeding 1,000 Gallons
Use the Tadpole as a “Pre-Filter” on larger pond filtration systems by positioning it before the water pump and submerging it in the deepest area of the pond. By filtering solid wastes prior to the filter you greatly improve the performance of the pressure filter and extend maintenance schedules by reducing the amount of solid waste collected in the filter’s media bed.

For Best Results
Add a water circulation by-pass to increase circulation and help suspend solid wastes at the bottom of the pond. Clean filter periodically to ensure effective solid waste capture.
